Los Angeles, California

The last few days have been a whirlwind. I visited and did volunteer work in 4 temples in 2 days! Redlands, San Diego, Newport Beach, and Los Angeles. To do it I left the motor home in Bakersfield, north of Los Angeles, and drove my Jeep down and stayed in hotels. I can move much faster without the motor home.

In the desert here it’s getting over 100° during the day. I left Emily’s cat in the motor home with lots of food, water, and kitty litter since it wasn’t practical to take her in the car and to hotels. Of course I left the A/C running in the motor home, but it still caused me some anxiety. The units are brand new but with the motor home problems of late, I had a paranoia that they would break and it would get too hot inside.

I was relieved upon returning that all was well, it was 78° inside the motor home just like it was supposed to be, and the cat was quite happy. I took this picture right after walking into the rig. Can you see how happy she is? 🙂
