August 15 was the day my husband and I were married in this temple. It was the nearest temple at the time to Portland. As it worked out it was our ward temple excursion and youth temple trip, which meant three bus loads from the ward. A goal from our bishop at the time to have all temple recommend holders attend. It wasn’t all, but a good number of them anyway.

What a wonderful time we had at the Oakland Temple on Thursday! The weather was so beautiful and the temple looked magnificent. It was great to be able to be with you, Damon, at one of your temple stops.
Thank you for posting that picture of you and Tiffany (on the day that she went through the temple for the first time). It has always been one of my favorite pictures of the two of you. That was such a special day for both the Scott and the Janis families.

Such a great post! And, if I remember correctly as a young girl, Tiff was glad she had a “good hair day” on the day of the pictures. Really, the 80’s hair could have been much crazier…Tiff’s looks lovely! The aerial is one of the best you’ve done. Hey, we even get to see you, Shelby, and Mom at the end! 😉

Aww, I remember that picture of you two. So sweet and young. Glad you’re in Northern California and really happy to hear that you are spending time with Uncle John’s family.
Your motorhome difficulties reminded me of how much I love Robin William’s in “RV”. Every time I see that movie I laugh so hard, it never gets old. If you haven’t seen it, watch it!
